Hub Project – April Update

Last month we were just about to start the contract……well now we have and much of the site is an active construction site. Site preparation including the segregation of the areas to be occupied by the Church and the area to be occupied by the Contractor is now completed, and strip out work including the removal of fittings, doors and ceilings is well underway. The roof tiles from one side of the main hall are being removed and have been used to replace the temporary tiles used over the store constructed in Phase 2. Here are a selection of pictures taken on site recently.

The Main Hall ceiling, insulation, light fittings and loft walkways being removed.
The kitchen that served so many in the past being removed.
Roof tiles being removed to enable structure for Hub to be installed.
Tiles have been reused to replace the slate tiles over the Phase 2 Main Hall stores completed last year.
Cleared kitchen ready to start to make way for the new internal arrangement.
The Main Hall with the structure and rafters exposed
We now have a plumbed in kitchenette and some toilets to use whilst the work is being carried out. The steps are temporary as a ramp, boarded floor and roof are yet to be installed.

Please continue to pray for safety of the on-site workers and for smooth logistics for the delivery of materials.

No unauthorised access to the building site is permitted by anyone from WPBC for health and safety reasons. We will continue to keep you informed of progress.
